Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use VFX Job Scout, a Telegram bot. By using the bot you accept them. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy. The service is provided by VFX Job Scout and is in a test phase. You can reach us at [email protected].
1. What the service does
The bot collects job offers published by VFX studios and other employers on their websites, job boards and professional networks, and sends you the ones that match your filters, with a link to the original offer. Users taking part in the test can also have short applications written for them and, if they connect Gmail, send them from their own mailbox.
We are not an employment agency and we are not the employer. We do not take part in any hiring process and do not guarantee any job, interview or reply.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 and use the bot for your own job search. During the test period we may limit the number of users: when places are full, you can still ask to join and we let you in when there is room.
3. Job offers
Offers come from third parties. We filter and check them, but we cannot guarantee that every offer is accurate, still open or genuine. Always read the original offer and be careful with anyone who asks you for money or sensitive personal data to apply.
4. Applications
- Letters are written by an AI from your profile and the offer. They can contain mistakes: you are responsible for checking the text before you send it, and for everything your profile and your applications say.
- Letters and CV readings are done by third-party AI services, which receive your profile and the job offer. How they handle that data depends on their own terms, which we don't control, which can differ by plan and by location and which can change; those terms may allow them to use what they receive to improve their services, and we can't guarantee otherwise. Using this feature is your choice and your responsibility: if you don't want your data to go through them, don't use it. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
- Nothing is ever sent without your confirmation, and only to the address found in the offer. You decide whether and where to apply.
- Only upload your own CV and data, and only true information.
- There are fair-use limits (for example letters per day and per month, and a pause between letters) to keep the service working for everyone.
5. Studios and being found
Studio matching and studio accounts are coming soon: these rules apply once they open.
- Letting studios find you is optional: from the bot you share an anonymous card, and you can delete it at any time. Your name, contact details, CV and reel go to a studio only when you say yes to that studio, or when you apply to its role.
- We introduce artists and studios; we do not decide who is hired and do not guarantee any reply, interview or job.
- Studios can open an account, which we check by hand before it can post: a free plan with limits, or a full plan agreed separately with each studio. Studio accounts are not part of the service you use as an artist. A studio may use what an artist shares only to talk about its roles. You can report a recruiter from the bot at any time.
6. Price and commissions
We take no commission: not from you, and not from the studios if you get a job through an offer we sent you.
During the test the service is free and nothing is charged. If paid plans are offered later, their price and conditions will be shown in the bot before you buy, and you decide whether to subscribe.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the bot to send spam or bulk email, to impersonate someone, to upload content that isn't yours or is unlawful, to try to get around its limits or security, or to copy its data automatically. We may suspend or remove access if these terms are broken.
8. Availability
We try to keep the service running and accurate, but it may be interrupted, change or stop, especially during the test period. Features can change; if a change matters for you, we tell you in the bot.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made by employers, for the content of third-party offers, for how third-party AI services, mailbox providers or Telegram handle data you choose to send through them, or for indirect losses from using the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Ending
You can stop at any time: /stop pauses the messages, and you can ask us to delete your data (see the Privacy Policy). Disconnecting Gmail or deleting your profile is immediate from /profile.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the EU Member State where the provider is established, which will be named here when the provider's details are published. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and can go to its courts.
12. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the bot before the change applies.
